The aim of ALLMI Training is to raise the standards of Lorry Loader Operators by improving their knowledge and competence within this specialist area.

The Association of Lorry Loader Manufacturers and Importers (ALLMI) is dedicated to promoting the safe use of Lorry Loaders with expert Lorry Loading Training.
Founded in 1978 at the request of the Health and Safety Executive (HSE), ALLMI draws from the expertise of manufacturers, service agents and fleet owners to promote best practices.
ALLMI Slinger / Signaller Course
The ALLMI Slinger / Signaller course is designed to provide learners with the essential knowledge and practical skills required to safely sling loads and signal crane operations on construction and industrial sites.
This course covers the roles and responsibilities of a Slinger/Signaller, including correct slinging techniques, safe load handling and effective communication with crane operators using standard hand signals.
Candidates will also gain an understanding of relevant legislation, risk assessment and safe systems of work in line with current industry standards. Training combines classroom-based theory with practical exercises, ensuring candidates can confidently apply their knowledge in real working environments.
Successful candidates receive an ALLMI recognised qualification, certificate and photo ID card, demonstrating competence and compliance with industry requirements recognised across the UK.
This course is ideal for those working on sites where lifting operations take place and is suitable for both new entrants and experienced workers seeking formal certification or refresher training. Course duration is 2 Days.
ALLMI Lorry Loader Course
The ALLMI Lorry Loader Course provides essential training for both beginner and experienced operators, covering the safe and efficient use of lorry loader cranes in line with current legislation and industry best practice. The course includes theoretical and practical training such as safety awareness, load assessment, pre use checks and correct operating techniques.
Successful candidates receive an ALLMI operator certificate and photo ID card, recognised across the UK. The course is suitable for new operators, experienced operators requiring certification, and those needing refresher training.
Course duration for Novice is 2 Days
Course duration for Refresher is 1 day (subject to terms)
Terms for Refresher: the candidate must have a recognised qualification that has not expired by more than 6 months to qualify for the refresher course. Please contact us before booking if you require further details.
